Amy Aranda, CSW-I

Hi, I’m Amy Aranda, a clinical social work intern at Individual & Relationship Counseling Associates. With over seven years in the mental health field — including extensive experience in community health and wellness — I help adults and couples build the secure connections they need to live with greater ease and fulfilment.

When your most important relationships feel strained, every part of life feels heavier. I’m passionate about helping people move past the “stuck” patterns of conflict and disconnection, so you can navigate what’s in front of you with a renewed sense of security and partnership.

Outside the therapy room I teach Zumba fitness and ice skating classes — movement and self-expression are a real part of how I stay grounded — and I treasure time camping with my wife and our pets.

Amy’s Therapeutic Approach

Collaborative, compassionate, and grounded in the science of attachment.

  • Attachment-Based EFT

I use the science of Emotionally Focused Therapy to look past surface-level arguments and find the emotional safety that lets a relationship genuinely thrive — with a partner, and within yourself.

  • Collaborative & Compassionate

I believe everyone deserves to feel truly heard and understood, so I work side by side with clients rather than handing down advice.

  • A Wellness-Informed Lens

Seven years across mental health and wellness — including work as a recovery coach and fitness instructor — means I treat movement and self-expression as real parts of self-care.

  • Evidence-Based & Tailored

Alongside EFT I draw on a range of evidence-based therapies, chosen for what you actually need rather than a fixed protocol.
